Rockridge Runway: An abundance of style in one community
New and resale clothing boutiques, accessory and shoe shops,
children’s clothing stores, salons, and spas line Rockridge’s
main artery, College Avenue, making it a one-stop destination for hair,
makeup, clothing, and accessories…and it’s no secret that this
district offers an abundance of style. The proliferation of new shops
and salons which have congregated in Rockridge over the years,
even caught the attention of editors from Lucky Magazine; the
publication featured Oakland in their “City Guides” section last October,
calling it “a hub for some of the coolest independently owned boutiques.”

The event is an à la carte fashion show highlighting local businesses
and showcasing up-to-the-minute trends on a 45 foot stage, providing
a bit of glam to the usual daytime festival. Rockridge Runway will also
underline the fashion community that has erupted in this Oakland district
and beyond. Merchant booths will be on hand with information and
merchandise for those who don’t want to walk away empty-handed
and with all the great food and beverages on tap at the festival,
refreshments won’t be far away. Be there to see what’s on tap for
fall wearables, as models skim the catwalk in the midst of College Avenue.
